Choose a Country and base all the food from starters to puddings on that Countries delicacies, the internet is a great help for this. Countries such as China, India, Thai, France or try something different like Greek, Australian, Swiss etc |
Games night
Hold a games night at a cell members house, invite friends and family, use games such as hooks & hoops, small ball into bottles for points, tiddlywinks!, many kids games are great for this. On a larger scale why not organise it as an intercell event! |
Play station games night
At one of your cell members houses organise a playstation games night. |
Quiz night
hold an intercell quiz night, each cell group is it's own team - the more the better!. A great way for cell groups to get to know each other and also for use as an evangelism event. |
Worship |
Mood light
Use a light which slowly changes colour, ask people to think about where they are in their mood at the moment ie blue - feeling cold, orange - warm, red - onfire, yellow - thoughtful, there are no correct feelings it's just where they are at the moment, ask them to reflect on this and where they would like to be and to pray for themselves |
Breaking bread / Communion
have communion together take a small glass of wine and pass around (or use individual glasses), then pass around a bread roll, alternatively use ribena or grape juice if you have no wine and a slice of bread or cracker if you don't have a bread roll. Read out Matthew 26 v 26-29. |
People tree!
Use the image of people on a tree, ask your cell group to think about where they are on it and use it to reflect on each other - download here |
Handbag
Ask your cell members to draw in the bag the burdens they are carrying around with them and to give the bag to God. It has two handles one for God to hold as well. - download here |
Prayer tap
Praying out loud is often a daunting experience, encourage your cell members to voice their prayers by asking the group pray one after the other, they may pray in their head or outloud, as soon as they have finished their turn, they tap the person next to them so that they have their turn and so on until everyone in the circle has had a turn. You will find that the quieter members are given the space to pray without worrying someone will come in at the same time as them and they actually pray outloud. |

Reflection
Using a nice glass, silver bowl, fill it with water half full and then collect some nice looking small stone which people can come up and while thinking about something which is holding them down or being a burden - offer it to God by placing a stone in the water. Alternatively use floating candles and ask each person to come up and light a candle, this can be used to remember someone as well. |
Wrist band
Using craft materials such as beads and bead string make a wrist band or keyring which will remind you of a particular person to pray for over the next few weeks. |
Bookmark
Using craft materials - card, craft punchers, stickies, create a bookmark which represents what Jesus means. |
Biscuits
Yes biscuits! using rich tea type biscuits and tubes of squeezy icing available from most stores, decorate your biscuit in a way which reflects what Jesus means to you - take a photo then eat!!! Do at Easter/Christmas time and use to reflect the time of year. |

Body language
Experiment with body language; kneel to pray or stand as you wait on God |
Describe God
Get a big sheet of paper and put down all the words that describe God then say a prayer of thanks for who he is. |
Armour of God
Bring plenty of large sheets of paper and card, stapler & masking tape, make each piece of the armour of God after making each piece place it on the chosen person and then pray for each other thinking about that piece of armour that has just been made. Makes for a fun evening too!! |

Evangelism |
Intercell quiz
Organise an intercell quiz night where cells bring their friends and family to help them win the quiz! the more a cell brings the more likely to win - or maybe not! If a cell group is really huge they may split into two or join up to help another team! |

Pamper evenings
Organise a Pamper evening which are quite popular at the moment, such as nail polish and paint, massage, etc maybe also offer healing, prayer and ministry as part of the evening where members are available to speak and pray with people. Make sure that the people who are praying and listening are members and have the skills and confidentialality to do this. |
Intercell games night
Organise a few indoor games around a circuit within the church building and build up points for teams. |
Craft evenings
Ask various people who can do crafts to get together and give a crafts demonstration type evening with chance to buy afterwards. |
Invitations
Always produce invitations for socials and evanglism events, this gives the person you're asking something to read later and a date to remember. |
