This course is brought to you by Walsgrave Baptist Church for the local community.

How to Drug Proof Your Kids® (DPYK for short) is an education, prevention and intervention programme developed by the national charity Care for the Family, in association with Hope UK, specialists in drugs education.

Statistics seem to indicate that no child is safe. Is that really the case? And if it is what can we, as parents and carers of young people, do to change the sitatuation?

Programme this is a six week course two hours per week. There is an easy work book - with pictures and information to help along the way.

Refreshments are offered throughout the evening usually with sweets on the tables to nibble whilst you listen!

Who "Drug Proof Your Kids" is suitable for parents and carers with children aged 8 or above. It is also suitable for grandparents etc.

Where at Walsgrave Baptist Church, this is a non faith based course so everyone is welcome.

Cost We charge £10.00 per person this is to cover the cost of the workbook, it is an interactive book and a useful tool to take home and refer to in the future.

If you would love to come on the course but are struggling financially then please speak to us when you book your place as we would love everyone to have the opportunity to do this course.

Presenter info Drug Proof Your Kids course is run by licensed presenters trained by Care for the family. The presenters run the course in a fun and friendly atmosphere, giving time for small discussions and an opportunity to ask questions. We have one helper Hazel and one trained presenter Louise:

I am a mum of two girls aged 10 and 7. I work from home running a small business. I am invovled with various groups at the church; Castle Gang (Sunday School), The Worship group, Updating the website and How to drug proof your kids. Having done this course I really feel passionate about sharing it with others to give the opportunity I've had to make a difference in my children's lives.
