This course is brought to you by Walsgrave Baptist Church for the local community.

How to Drug Proof Your Kids® (DPYK for short) is an education, prevention and intervention programme developed by the national charity Care for the Family, in association with Hope UK, specialists in drugs education.

Statistics seem to indicate that no child is safe. Is that really the case? And if it is what can we, as parents and carers of young people, do to change the sitatuation?

Where The course will be offered at various places in the local community and anyone is welcome to join a course. Please for more information.

Programme this is a six week course two hours per week. There is an easy work book - with pictures and information to help along the way.

Refreshments are offered throughout the evening usually with sweets on the tables to nibble whilst you listen!

Who "Drug Proof Your Kids" is suitable for parents and carers with children aged 8 or above. It is also suitable for grandparents etc.

When The next course is running at Walsgrave Primary School on Tuesday evenings from 7.00pm till 9.00pm, from 20th April to 25th May 2010. here to book your place on the course.

There is a taster session open to all on Tuesday 30th March 7.00pm till 8.30pm at the school. here to book your place for this session.

Cost We charge £10.00 per person or £15.00 per couple this is to cover the cost of the workbook, it is an interactive book and a useful tool to take home and refer to in the future.

If you would love to come on the course but are struggling financially then please speak to us when you book your place as we would love everyone to have the opportunity to do this course.

Presenters we have three trained licensed presenters who run this course in a fun and friendly atmosphere, giving time for small discussions and an opportunity to ask questions.

I have three boys aged 13, 12 & 8. I work for the Church part time and I am involved in a variety of childrens and young peoples work such as WRAP in Walsgrave, Launch & Youth work at the Church. This course has made a real difference for me and my relationship with my children and I really recommend it.
